Recycle Your PLA Prints with Us | Help Us Reduce Waste

The biggest threat compromising our earth is plastic garbage. Annually, almost 300 million tonnes of plastic are generated; most of it ends up in oceans or landfills. These break down hundreds, maybe thousands of years. We have to thus look for better ways to recycle everywhere we can and cut plastic waste.

PLA filament is used in exquisite, premium 3D-printed products made at Lainley's 3D Printing. Made from renewable resources, such as maize starch and biodegradable unlike ordinary plastic, PLA is

We really practice 3D printing in sustainability. We think that undesired or failed PLA prints have a second life. We recycle them using the Loop Filament Recycler into new filament instead of throwing them away.

Let's delve further and enable everyone to use 3D printing as a sustainable tool!

Why should recycling matter for PLA?

Although they are produced from PLA, discarding 3D printing contributes to the already existing plastic waste issue. Made from natural materials like maize starch and able to break down over time, PLA is superior to ordinary plastic. Still, under normal circumstances, it does not break down rapidly.

Recycling PLA helps old objects find new life and cuts garbage. Reusing PLA helps us to save energy, lower pollution, and lower demand for new, from-scratch manufactured fresh filament production.

For those engaged in the scene of 3D printing, recycling is especially crucial. Many amateurs and artists create failed prints in their attempts. We can find a more ecologically friendly way to enjoy 3D printing by means of recycling these failed prints.

Items We Allow

PLA welcomes failed prints from everyone wishing to help our recycling project. Still, there are some guidelines to ensure the items we pick are safe and clean enough for recycling.

We currently accept the following:

Other forms of plastic, including ABS, PETG, or materials combined with PLA, are not something we can handle.

Make sure your prints come free of extra trash, dust, grime, or oils.

There are no more extras. Not acceptable are painted prints, rafts, and supports since these could compromise the recycling process.

We simply help you to quickly recycle your PLA prints with us! Your starting point is like this:

Correctly file your prints.

Sturdy boxes will protect your PLA prints from damage en route.

Check the prints for compliance with standards and cleanliness (PLA only, without dirt, oils, or supports).

Mail those to us.

Forward your order to Lainley's 3D Printing at 122 Ham St., South Windsor.

Should we need to get in touch with you, note your contact details.
